Electrostatic desalting is the removal of salt and other impurities from crude oil. Desalting packages are deliverable for capacity of up to 65,000 bbl of oil containing 15% maximum volumetric water cut and 250,000 ppm of salt.

Electrostatic vessels with a diameter of 4 meters and length of 20 meters are fabricated for operation under a pressure of 20 Bars and temperature of 80 Deg. centigrade.

Components of the package include desalter vessels, transformers, electrical control boards, salty water recycle pumps, instruments, piping, valves and instrument junction boxes.
